what magnifier /viewing aids do you use?

i dont think my eye sight is failing too bad , but i find it uncomfortable working with things really close up for really fine detail

I had a flourescent lamp/magnifier, but didn't get on with it: it just makes your fingers/tweezers look bigger as well as the part, so I couldn't see any advantage. A decent light is more important IMO (assuming as you say your eyesight isn't knackered).

i was thinking after posting...a higher desk would maybe help , so its almost at chest/neck height

...or a lower chair? I've got a cheapo Ikea 'leather' office chair set at the low setting. It's surprising how much I miss it if I have to use a differnt one.

Someone recommended the headband with magnifiers on. Superb. And mobile, obviously.
