duff speedo

hi all,
my speedo seems to have stopped working.
rev counter works and so do all the other bits and bobs.

any ideas on the best places to start the search??

I would start by having a look at the Speedo transducer located on the diff drivers side. It may just need a clean out to get ride of road grim. If not you may need a new one. A very easy job 2 bolts to remove and i don't think it is horrifically expansive to replace i think around £60 ish.

thanks, thought that might be the place, will have to clean it up.

just wondered if there was a fuse or something, as it died over night rather than slowly becoming more erractic.

Yes check as per the last post and make sure that it is close enough to the toothed section on the diff.
