loose steering column

Got a slight bit of play on the steering wheel..have tightened up the adjustment lever a bit but didn't want to over tighten.
Is it a common thing and can it be fixed.
I think its due to pulling down on the steering wheel when getting out the car.

I got the same problem and again from pulling on the steering wheel whilst getting out, just tighten it.

i've got the same thing but when i tighten up the adjustment lever it only helps a little bit!

I didn't want to overtighten it and snap the lever...just wondered if there's anything else i can do.

After i tightened mine it would move again if i were to pull on it, so i just stopped using it as a lever to get out of the car, it doesnt move under normal useage.

i only noticed mine moving after watching an in car video of me at Silverstone

extend the seat fully every time you get in and out
