Squeaky wheels...
Discussion
What the heck causes this...?
In my previous car (Fiat Croma) and in my new-to-me Alfa the passenger side front wheel has squeaked. In the Croma it got to be permanent but in the Alfa it only seems to happen once everything is warmed up, I am turning right and I am not braking. It is not speed dependant either in occurrence or pitch / volume and happens whether the clutch is in or out and in all gears.
I never really got to the bottom of it, but temporary relief was given when a small piece of metal that appeared to be some sort of a shield between the brake disc and the ball joint or a brake disc crap scraper offerer (technical term, obviously!) was bent back slightly. The noise returned later and more prominently.
Any ideas, please?
