Anyone play?

I've been having a play about here, on the free game - http://www.freeroulettesite.com/

Now thinking about taking the plunge and playing for real (online)

Any tips / advice?

There is no system that works and no skill.

Its purely luck, unless the house have stacked the odds even more firmly in their favour.

If its for fun, enjoy, but don't bet more than you can afford to lose, and learn to walk away when you've hit your loss limit.

stick to playing for free

or keep a close on your stakes / limits and walk when you hit them (you will)

Also set an upper limit so that if luck is on your side, you walk away with the winnings. e.g. Start with £100 in bank, if bank hits £1k, withdraw £900 and log out

Play heads or tails with me if you want, I will offer you 10/11 heads and 10/11 tails on an unbiased coin!! Have as much as you want on and play for as long as you like!!

Seriously don't play roulette for real money unless you have a biased table or a hooky dealer, neither of which you will have in an online casino and theres only a very very slim chance you would ever have this in real life at a casino. The only casino game you can get an edge at is blackjack and only if you play in a real casino and you can count the cards (i.e the casino are not using an automatic shuffing machine etc etc), even then you will be asked to leave. Vegas was not built on winners!!!

A friend who worked in the game said some of the old croupiers can put a ball in one half of a table 75% of the time-work that out in real life.

I am guessing you didn't play enough.

It's slightly biased against you. This means that if you are lucky, you will profit and must stop. Once you start getting unlucky, you have to bail.

I had a free £25 bet with Betfair so I just put it on red. I won. I stopped.

At best, if you're clever, you can make your money last a long time by applying decent money management but it just puts off the inevitable.

If you are going to spend money online on gaming, it has to be on Poker, it's the only way you have any possibility of coming out ahead long-term, and only then if you are good.

Yep, poker... against other players!

Or betting on betting exchanges eg Betfair, Betdaq.

Nah, I've no intention of starting online gaming - I just fancied a crack at Roulette after stumbling upon the free game I in my OP.

I actually found it pretty easy to make over a grand with the free game, although I suppose that's easy to do when the 2k in your account isn't real money!

If you do decide to play online use a site with a live wheel not the automated crap.

If you're going to play roulette, do the weekly weekend William Hill risk free Live Casino £10 smile

They refund your lost £10 when it doesn't work out. Look out in the panels on the lower right hand side of the sports homepage. You'll also see regular risk free £5 Vegas slots offered, these are well worth it too.

I don't do any 1000% deposit bonus offers etc, just risk frees.
