Windscreen Chip Repair - Discussion
Discussion
There's a mahooooosive difference between repairing a chipped windscreen and attempting to fill a chip; it really is chalk and cheese.
Was talking to a guy yesterday who said that his car is booked in for a new windscreen (and that he had fears about what to expect). The bizarre thing is, the 'damage' was a small stonechip - perfectly repairable - but it (the screen) was condemned on the count of the damage being too close to the edge.
Here's a taster of the kind of 'repairing' is going on out there.

I think the public have been misled and misinformed about what is acceptable after a repair has been carried out.
