Hi all, I'm looking for a new car soon, I already have 3 cars and a motorbike but non are really suitable! Saxo VTS = Too heavy on fuel, BMW 330d = About 40mpg with 260bhp but expensive if anything elses goes wrong on it (just replaced the turbo @ £900... along with various other bits totaling £1,500) ... and the Focus I have is on its last legs.

So ideally I'm looking for car suggestions with older style mechanical adjustable pumps so I can tune them myself instead of buying remapping everytime I adjust the intercooler or injectors etc. The only car I can think of is a Pug 1.9 TD so I'm open to suggestions.

Thanks

By the time you have taxed, bought and insured another car, wouldnt it be cheaper just to maintain one of the current ones you have?

But the pre PD version, not the PD version, but if that is the case, beware, it'll be absolulutly 'orrid to drive. But, The up side will be, you will not end up in a world of PD pain.

Saxo VTS, rubbish fuel ???? how bad ?
