Red Victor 3: race dates 2012

The world's fastest Vauxhall Victor is back, with PH smileys intact

Everybody's favourite super-fast Vauxhall, Red Victor 3, is back again this year - and it'll still be sporting the fastest PH smileys on the planet.

It was a quiet year in 2011 for the RV3 team as engine problems meant they only managed one big meet at the Euro finals at Santa Pod back in September. But boy did RV3 and driver Andy Frost show off the new car's potential.

And for 2012 Red Victor Racing intends to fulfil that potential, with plenty of work going on during the winter season to ensure RV3 is in fine health. Among the work has been extensive machining and welding by Cylinder Head Services in Northampton to get the pushrods in without hitting anything, boring into the intake ports and sleeving the pushrod holes to allow more room, and upgrading the whole valvetrain assembly.

Oh, and the small matter of upgrading the turbos with new partner new partner Owen Developments.

"They have looked at the standard units" says owner/driver Andy Frost, "and reckon we can gain 'a lot of power' with the latest mods that are available. Not that we're short of power, but you can never have enough..." That's the spirit, Andy.

6-9 April Easter Thunderball, MSA pro mod championship,Santa Pod raceway
1-4 June Main Event, FIA/MSA pro mod championship, Santa Pod raceway
10 June Performance Vauxhall Show, Santa Pod raceway
22-24June Summer nationals, MSA pro mod championship. Santa Pod raceway
6-9 September European finals, FIA/MSA pro mod championship, Santa Pod raceway
21-23 September National finals, MSA pro mod championship. Santa Pod raceway

On top of those dates RV3 will also be attending:
26-27 May Classic Ford RWYB, Santa Pod raceway
29 June-1 July Goodwood Festival of Speed (subject to confirmation)
14-15 July All Vauxhall rally, Billing Aquadrome
27-29 July Mopar Euro nats, Santa Pod raceway.

"We're really looking forward to the new season," says Andy, "as last year's was over before it really began. We'll be carrying the PH logo again in 2012, particularly for all our PH supporters who helped us get back to the track in 2011. We'd be really pleased if you came and said hello if you see us!"

Very sad that you can´t include the NitrOLympX in your schedule,
but as I see you´re aiming at the MSA Championship this year,
so good luck with that.
I guess the Hockenheim crowd would like to see your street legal PM,
well, maybe sometime in the future.

Road legal or track only records would be destroyed!!
