couldn't resist a visit

I was initially intending to document the refurb properly, but then numerous issues distracted me. Two of which being the poor quality of iphone photos and the fact that itunes deleted all photos by restoring instead of sync'ing the hard-drive. And so:
So, I'm left with nothing but a few meaningless pics. I am however off home to blighty on a business trip tomorrow and thought I'd drop in and see the progress of my Chimp first. I was surprised....firstly by the age of the apprentice and then by the state of my baby. Apparently I can start the rebuild upon my return but for now, here she is...

Finally back from the painters!!

Now I just need to change the carpet, re-trim the roof, fit new seats, re-build everything, fashion wheel arch access caps, swap tyres to new wheels, reconstruct mirror mounts, set up headlights, geo-check ...
Is that the undercoat ?Only joking it looks supurb ,what is the actual colour.there must be alot of work just putting it back together. Now I just need to change the carpet, re-trim the roof, fit new seats, re-build everything, fashion wheel arch access caps, swap tyres to new wheels, reconstruct mirror mounts, set up headlights, geo-check ...

I had it undercoated in Almond Green...and apart from the bonnet which needs completely re-doing (as this looks s**t), I'm chuffed as a dog with two dicks about the colour! I've seen too many cars painted GN37 which come out slightly blue rather than grey. This one is spot-on!
Now, if the weather just rises above 5°C, then i can start gluing all the bits back on

Got back home on Thursday and again couldn't resist seeing the progress. Snow or no snow...I am still getting a little impatient for her return
