Speaker size in doors ?

Anyone know what the speaker size is in the doors, need to get some decent looking grills

They are 16cm. Mine were missing the grilles. I gave up trying to find the proper size and settled for some Pioneer 13cm ones. They fit and the grilles are only a couple of mm smaller than the original 16s.

The original Pioneer fitment used a grill type that was really close to the edge of the speaker, hence the reason they managed to fit the 16cm units in.

Todays 16cm speakers have a lot more space around the speaker so the 16cm speakers available today will be too big to fit in the circular shape on the door card.

You will find that the 13cm items will fit (and that is what i did with mine) but you need to make sure that the have a fair size outer ring to the mounting frame .

JL Audio speakers look good and appear to fit - moving to a smaller speaker would be my last choice.

That size is discontinued now from what I could gather. I found that thread before resorting to buying 13s. The overall difference from my old ones to my new ones is about 5mm.
