PS3 points - can't use

Hey guys,
I've been in the UK now for almost a year, and have bought my PS3 with me from Australia. After being unsucessful at buying points online (I have an AU PS3 account and a UK credit card) I decided to go into game, so I purchased 25quid worth of points so I could d/l the new battlefield maps, this also didn't work and neither Sony nor Game will issue me a refund on the points.
it has beens suggested that I open a UK PS3 account, however, I like my original tag name, and I intend to leave the UK in the next year, so this really isn't feasable.
I feel pretty stty that I can't change my location within the PS3 store, as surely your location is just a tag within the main database... :/.. Anyway, just a warning to any of you out there that may be in the same situation, if you don't use a credit card from the place of origin you will be unable to put any more points on your account and purchasing points from a shop will just net you a useless bit of paper....:/
