Hi, could someone help me out and let me know the settings for torqueing the head, inlet manifold and exhaust manifold bolts. The top of the engine is in bits on the floor of the garage, but I was unable to get hold of a Rover 3500 Haynes manual today (none in local motor factors, and a couple of days lead time on ebay ones), and would like to get it put back together tomorrow as the new stainless steel manifolds should be in from ACT on Friday so then it should be ready for the first drive for suffolkfoxy

If I don't respond to replies immediately it's because i'm out in the garage cleaning components.

Figures from the Rover Manual.
Head: -
Nos 1 to 10 70 lbf/ft
Nos 11 to 14 50 lbf/ft
Exhaust: - 15 ibf/ft
Inlet: - 30 lbf/ft
Tighten the head bolts in the correct sequence:-
9 5 1 3 7
8 4 2 6 10
14 13 11 12
11-14 are outers.
Always copaslip the exhaust bolts.

Hi Jerry. Glad that you found the handbook useful. Also glad that I could be of service to you and Teresa. If you need anything else just give me a shout... Should be at the meet on Sunday, but I won't be able to stay for long. Will try and email my address etc to you, via your profile asap.
