plug lead dilema

think it's time for new plug leads.

any pointers on which to get?

there seem loads about £60, then they jump up to the 8mm magnecors and then the magencor kv85's are a jump again.

are the cheaper ones a false economy?
do the magnecors make a difference?

any views welcomed!!!

I asked this question recently and was advised to get the TVR ones rather than magnecore. I bought mine from Clever Trevor and they were £60 ish.

A few independents have confirmed these are correct

I went for these seem good quaility and silicon as well should last 10 years plus.

done a bit more reading round and magnecors seem to introduce more problems than they solve!!!

think best to go with some standard leads from a specialist

Get the standard TVR ones, magnecors were terrible on mine.

I have had Magnecor Kv85 on my Westield AJP with no problems and they are the same ones I used on my Rover engine.They are probably 8 years old and work perfectly. Admittedly they don't get lots of use though

I have run both the original Bougicord leads and Magnecor KV85s on my Cerbera and have been totally unable to tell the difference. I have been told both, that you should never run Magnecors on an AJP and that they are the only lead worth using. It all depends who you ask.

The one thing that was significant was that when I accidentaly damaged a Magnecor lead and enquired about a replacement, they sent me one free and gratis by return of post!

For Magnecors to be worth almost twice the price - I expect them to last twice as long. If their customer service is anything to go by I don't see that being a problem.

I've run Magnecors for more than 10 years now without a problem and since they've been supplied through Tim at ACT, I've had any concern over support of the product. My experience is similar - they just work.
