Local unmarked bobbies have style now then?

Heading back home yesterday in Fareham when I saw a car whizzing towards me with blues & twos going full pelt. I pull to one side to make a bit of room when I thought "that's odd, two of the blue flashing LEDs are very close together in the middle" at which point I noticed it was a silver Alfa Giulietta (may have even been a Cloverleaf).
Assuming it was police. Looked a bit more than the local fire officer with a blue light stuck on the roof.
