Matt Lee told me in person : 235/40/17 works best

Cheers, 225/40 must be even closer profile to 245/40 then?
You need to create that 1" difference by having a higher wall height on the rears because you are running 17" on all four corners .
Best way to achieve this is to run
Front 215/40/17 604mm
Rear 245/40/17 628mm wall height difference 24mm which is perfect, this will compensate for having 17" wheels front and rear.
Both tyres are around 3mm smaller in diameter next to the standard setup, so its the best your going to get.

So either 215/40 or 225/40 on the fronts......
Well, what you're trying to do is match the rolling radius of the original wheels. At the front (most of) these were 15" with 205/55/15 tyres and my solution is near identical. Other sizes will fit of course but I felt that this (plus matching the offset exactly) was the best way to guarantee I had no rubbing issues on full lock and retained the steering geometry as standard. So either 215/40 or 225/40 on the fronts......
The original rears of course were 245/45/16 and whilst steering isn't an issue, interference under full compression and gear ratios potentially are so again the size I chose was within a couple of percent the same.

And on his day off was the guy behind developing the SP12 wheels for chims and griffs
Only difference is the paint finish and no letters around the rim,i do think the SP12`s look better without the letters..Think they did some deal with Team Dynamics to loose the letters..

and about half the price ..

....and offsets
When i was in the market for bigger wheels and unsure about wheels/tyre sizes, the engine builder said Matt Lee was the man to ask. Tim at ACT said exactly the same.
