I am wanting to spend money on which will provide max performance gains with regards to trimming lap times.

1k, Dampers, for track use exactly what performance gains are there with upgrading to nitrons or similar.(i have bilstein on at the moment)

1.2k, Lightweight rims, no doubt the first advantage comes to mind is acceleration and braking, then there is the fact i can have a dedicated set of track tyres on the second set of alloys.

But purely with regards to how the car performs on track, pound for pound which would be the better and more essential performance upgrade?

If you have m12 shocks, I'm sure upgrading those will have more effect than saving a few kg from the wheels.
Nice new shiney shocks will be my next modsmile

I'm with Jamie on this one , your std dampers will be getting a bit tired and upgrading to adjustable dampers will give you much better wheel control .

You can also adjust the dampers between road and track setup and dial in more or less under steer ect .

Plus and the biggest reason to upgrade is ...... How cool do these look biggrin

You have confirmed what i thought to be honest... i will be over in middle of feb would you be able to get me a set Simon and i can bring you cash?

Ps . what is the brand/make of these?

Are these better than putting on the M400 dampers?

I think you should go for the wheels........... decision based purely on performance gains... nothing to do with us getting the cheaper option price thumbupwhistle

On the basis that the wheels depend on a group buy, and who knows when the next one will be, whereas you can get the dampers anytime, surely you should go for the wheels now - even though the dampers may make more of a difference.

As has been said, tuition may give the best return - but again can be done anytime.

Retract my statement on tuition. Definitely wheels first for the greatest gains whistle

The statement above is in no way linked to the fact I'm on the wheels list

To be honest Chris, unless you are a professional racing driver you will not trim your lap times with just these. You are far better off invseting in one-2-one tuition first. You will be amazed how much quicker you will be. Even Pro Rally drivers take tarmac tuition or take part in circuit racing to help improve their tarmac skills. You never stop learning and it's time and money well spent.

Just my advice smile
Cheers, Ian

buy the dampers - get them set up and you can have the best of both worlds

(i have the m400 set up on mine and its a bit hard for road use - but i like it)

then buy a second hand set of rims from one of the guys buying new rims and you can have 2 sets

i have a feeling you will be buying several sets of rims - kowing how much you like to fettle your car and the way it looks

you probably deserve an award for most modified Noble !

lol my noble is no where near as modified as some others on here.

So how do these 2 way adjustables work, is it simple to set them up because giving me the control to mess about with settings is not a good idea, and i could understand being able to adjust hard/soft but what is the other thing you can adjust? Does the ride height stay the same as factory settings? and can i pair these with the eibach springs?

The best upgrade I have ever done is tuition over the years & still have referesher now & then to improve, not just half an hour here & there. To drop lap times significantly that is the best way, then start to modify the car where necessary especially if track days etc will be regular attended.

I'm going for all 3 (even if you have to sell a kidney or child).

The tuition available at the Goldtrack track days are very good which I recommend even to novices & have helped me no end over the years especially at Spa & Silverstone including learning the track, cornering & carrying speed throughout & safely which ultimately can embarress drivers in far more powerful exotica especially in the likes of already capable cars like Nobles etc.

another massive vote for Goldtrack tuition !! , had 2 sessions with Calum last year and improved alot around both silverstone and Spa , also great advice from Selwyn helped also .

also worth noting that Goldtrack will offer free sighting laps at our track events this year !!! Tux
