How far do you go to clean or groom your cat? Ours are brushed and baby wipes used to clean feet/bum/eyes and even ears. Not necessarily in that order mind nor with the same wipe!

These are things you can start with when they are kittens - the same way you do with puppys. They then get used to it and you don't get bitten/scratched.

^ This! Trying to get a worming tablet down her is hard enough.

Both will let me do pretty much anything grooming wise & tablet giving wise

But then I got them both used to it as kittens

Both will lead me a merry chase when they know they are on tablets however!

My cat is self-cleaning.

However the simple act of licking fur can be remarkably loud at 4.00am when it is on one's bed, and goes on for hours!

No way would it let me clean its teeth or give it pills; you'd end up in tatters.

lol, brushing a cats teeth.

I dont think they have toothbrushes in the wild.

and as for baby wipes for wiping there arse/eye/whatever, I think that just a massive overkill, they clean themselfs.

My cats take great satisfaction in licking their own arses clean - usually in the middle of the floor, with both legs above their heads, just as dinner is served.

Clean their teeth? I like my arms thanks very much.

+1, not a hope in hell. Me and the missus armed with oven gloves, bath towels, you name it, failed to get ours into a box for a trip to the vets. Felt very inadequate phoning the vet and cancellingboxedin

the vet i did some work experience in had a weekly 'record' chart for the numbers of appointments cancelled cos people couldnt catch their cats. cant remember the actual record but an average week was low teens.....oh, and it included an honourable mention one week for the same cancellation reason for a hamster!

Nope, but in the wild they don't eat all the s***e that's in cat food.....

That's why we give ours natural food where possible.

Our cars are quite pampered but the cleaning is no regime lol. A brush every couple of weeks. They really like it and will roll over and rub themselves against the brush. Wipes they are not so keen on but they only get that once in a while or if we catch them curling out a soft one in the litter tray. If Ryu is particularly dirty and muddy after an afternoon out he likes a quick wipe on his feet lol

We have just switched from panacur paste to milebax tablet for worming. Tablets are just as hard to give as the injector tube paste. Both our cats came as kiitens at about 10 and 12 weeks old. The littlest one who is 8 months now even likes walking round the bath tub and dipping her legs in.

Can't say we clean teeth etc, other things if necessary.
I'm a great fan of "bothering" kittens as much as possible. They need to know its normal to be lying on their back, have their feet, claws, eyes and ears checked and the sooner you start the better.

When we got the first kitten we did get some toothpaste with a thimble like thing. Used it all of about 3 times and its sat in a drawer for nearly 2 years now. Biscuits should keep their teeth at least in partially good order.

Raw chicken wings do a good job too.

I've been told that chicken bones splinter and can cause some damage? Why wings and not legs or even any other part?
