Don't worry - this isn't a "buy my car!" thread, just thought I'd think out loud on here and see what people thought.

Had the Chim for about 6 years now, and in all that time have only put on about 8,000 miles. I'm definitely not one of those that thinks it can't go out in the rain, or if there's a slight puddle still left over on the roads - it's just that it never gets the use it deserves! My garage is a couple of hundred yards from the house, so when going out anywhere, it's far far easier to just take the diesel hatchback. The Chim only seems to go out on "special occasions" like weddings and such like. Either that, or I get it out to clean / polish it, take it for a blast, then straight back into the garage.

Since the last MOT back in March '11, it's only done about 400 miles, so I'm thinking it's about time it went somewhere where it would get a bit more use.

Still makes me happy to drive; it's not the car's fault!

My Personal thought is that a minimum 2,000 miles per annum is required to justify the cost of owning and running a p&j car, if I did less than stated in my chim, for sure it would be up for sale.

Pah - amateur wink

I bought mine in 2004 and it had its 48,000 mile service in 2006 - its nearly up to 52,000 miles now, not hit the road in it in 2011 at all... ..or 2010 other than to the MOT and back hehe

...but its always there when I need it biggrin

I'm in a similar position, and have unfortunately decided it's time to sell the Chimaera after 2 happy years! If I had the money and space it would stay, but don't see the point in have a P&J that's barely used (500 miles last year) and a boring daily driver to do the rest of the miles. So both are going to be replaced with a big V8 saloon of some sort.

I have no doubt I'll have another TVR in the not too distant future though!
