For my return trip from AAS, does anyone know of any tunnels that could be visited on the way back without too much of a detour?

No reason of course... smile

M1>M62 westbound has a couple of small ones.

Leeds city center has quite a few (40 limit though)

Tyne Tunnel on the way out of Newcastle will probs be the longest one you will come across on that route!

Easy.

Tyne Tunnel Northbound, keep going until you reach Edinburgh, then turn left and head to Glasgow where you'll find the Clyde tunnel. Turn left again and head south to Liverpool and you can travel over to The Wirral under the Mersey tunnel. Head East over to Leeds, there's a few there, then perhaps South and take in the Dartford tunnel before heading across London (must be a few there) to that new tunnel on the A3.

How about that? wink

If you want the tunnel effect get the car shipped home in a container, sit in it and blip all the way back

I can't believe I forgot that, I had to install and setup the traffic counting systems there a few months ago. Must have blocked it from my memory...

I know, I've been up there at least 3 times. I even thought at the time I'd have to take the Monaro through there...

Is this how it starts? Am I getting old at 25? yikes
