Buying a Boxster thoughts please
Discussion
So, the GT3 is probably finally going to go. I honestly don't think that it will become the lump sum I had hoped it might (but that's not why I bought it) in around five years so I want the cash in my bank and not in the garage. Thinking of getting a cheap Boxster so as not to lose the plot entirely.
Being well aware of the issues, I am leaning towards a higher mileage car, simply because it hasn't yet gone bang whereas the lower mileage car is still in with a good shout of so doing. Sensible or not?
S or not. I fancy an S more than a 2.7 but is there a huge difference in reality? I guess a tip will have seen even lighter use and this too could be an option too.
I really want to get something that will get me from a to b in a fun way without costing a fortune to insure, to maintain and to put fuel in.
Your thoughts.

Going off your post, I think you are making a mistake.Being well aware of the issues, I am leaning towards a higher mileage car, simply because it hasn't yet gone bang whereas the lower mileage car is still in with a good shout of so doing. Sensible or not?

You are worried about residuals and think you would be better off with a cheap Boxster and the rest in the bank?
Financially, I would bet that you are better staying put.

without question I'd have thought. The GT3 may have depreciated in the last 5 years (not much I wouldn't think) but it won't continue to do so.Gassing Station | Porsche General | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
