How can I make my windscreen more slippery?
Discussion
I know it's been covered alot on here...and I have searched the forums honest! But my wipers aren't broken....just pathetically feeble.
Most of the time the motor just refuses to budge the things. If I give it a little assistance by waggling the blades then it will spring into life, but otherwise it's does nothing....nada....zip!
So is there anything I can do to improve their performance?
I thought about trying to make the screen more slippy (RainX maybe?), or getting some less resistant blades. Maybe I can boost the motor somehow? Or reduce the tension in the arm springs....
Any thoughts Peeps?

You might find cleaning the wiper motor connections (on both sides of the plastis connector) helps the wipers move. To access you have to unbolt the motor clamp and rotate the assembly (motor and wiper gear box) upwards. Otherwise, keeping the screen clean and chamoising helps. I use Mer on the screen despite the instructions telling you not to.
I've just driven to work in Southern Germany (where i'm typing this) from Birmingham with wipers that don't work at all! With the windscreen covered in rain X all was fine..............

I've got my wiper motor in peices at the moment (heard a rumour that it's off a Morris Marina and TVR want about £160 plus VAT for a replacement!).
I've got a damaged brush, rusted spring and electrical cable come off.
Does anyone know if I can get the circiut board with the brushes on? - I think it's a Lucas part.

Just by way of an update, I doused my winscreen in RainX over the weekend, and also used the Rainx soaked cloth to clean my wiper blades.
Result!
My wipers now slide smoothly over the screen even in the dry!
The only problem is that the windscreen is now a bit 'misty'. Should I be buffing it after the application? I don't want to just rub it all off again!
