I need to upgrade my rear setup - I've got Gaz coilovers on the front. I want to use Gaz on the rears but I'm not sure whether to use coilovers or their standard damper and separate springs. Asides from the handling I want decent comfort too.

Any views...??

GAZ adjustable damping and platform are fine for me.
Still using the TVR spring, so no full coilover but it works as it should.

Nothing wrong with koni's when they do their job as you want.
Had no koni's at the back and the old ones were well past there appropriate TVR-use date and wanted a full adjustable setup at the rear. Platform adjustment is quite handy to avoid the tyres hitting the wheel arch.

What about low speed comfort?

Changing my Avo set up in the spring to match up with front ie Bilsteins with eibach springs adj/platform/coilovers , can turn settings to what I want .If she can corner nearly as well as the 7 then thats fine .

Overall it has a very comfortable ride, not only considered by myself but also passengers are surprised as they expect a rock hard sports car. With the rear damper setting started in the middle, had to soften them to even maximise rear grip that is very good. Front has uprated springs and gaz adjustables, and standard polybushed suspension. It still runs standard rims with 205/60R15 tyres that still can have an additional cushioning effect. A set of 16 inch is waiting to be put on and we will see what the effect is. Still need to buy tyres and I don't mind if it will have a harsher ride.
Setting of the wedge is for fast road, at low speeds and no cobblestones it behaves like a well suspensioned GT and I am very happy with it driving. Road holding is so good that the wedge is better than my driving skills (no driving god here), so still need to learn a lot, but that needs track time as trying to improve it on the public road is a nono.

Fixed that for you wink My Esprit could run rings around the 390SE, I think you'd have to go a long way to make a Wedge corner like a 7 - watching with interest biggrin

Ian I live in hope ! The seac does handle well now she's had various mods done , the bench mark is always the 7.

You know, it may be the colour but I always like the look of your SEAC. Makes me wish I'd bought the white one Transmitter Man owns when the previous owner offered me it...
