Afternoon all! Just wondering if anyone on here has a 3DS and if so, what do you think of it? I have a DS Lite (which I've not used for a while now admittedly) but I've noticed there's a couple of games for the 3DS out that I like the look of and I fancy a new trinket..... but are they worth it?
Cheers,
Rich

They're really good, the 3D part is especially good, far better than you think it could be without glasses.
But you've got to be careful with it, the 3D shouldn't be used by anyone under 7 (although in some cases it says 6) and if like me you have less than perfect vision, but don't wear glasses yet it can give you headaches - I played it on and off with my Son on Xmas and Boxing Day and got a headache that wouldn't go with painkillers for 2 days...

Thanks for the replies lads, I had a go on one in HMV a few months ago, it was running Pilot Wings I believe and it didn't seem too bad. Can you still play old DS games on it?
I've heard about the headache thing too, you can turn the 3D off though can't you so that shouldn't be too much of a problem.
I like the look of Resident Evil, Star Fox and Pilot Wings, are there any other games worth getting?

yeah they play older DS games.
games I would recommend are
resident evil revalation
tom clanceys ghost recon
the new 3d mario one (cant remember its name)
zelda ocaria of time
ridge racer if you like powersliding
street fighter if you like fighters
and im sure there are a few others that are good, just that there the ones ive got.
there are loads of DSIware games that you can download of the Eshop, and as you have a DSLite you wouldnt have been able to use those anyway.
there are plenty of games coming out this year, so go for it.
Oh and squareenix are talking about a Final fantasy 7 for the 3DS too.

We have one
I think it's excellent, and you can adjust the 3dness if you find it's too much of a strain too, and even turn it off if it's that much of an issue. Playing Mario Kart on the DSXL and then Mario Kart 7 on the 3DS really shows the improvemtns in both graphics and sound.
We have Mariot Kart 7, Zelda and Star Fox so far, and they all play great

Well I've been and had a play on a demo unit in Game this lunchtime and I think it's a nice bit of kit, the 3D works really well and I spent a while playing Mario but......... I've been reading up on the Playstation Vita and I think I'm going to wait until that comes out before making my mind up.
