996 or 997 GT2

Which is rarer? I was looking into production numbers and some forums seemed to say 997 are rarer - but is that in the US only?

Porsche UK were VERY choosy about who they would "allow" to order one of the first run 2008 models and 34 were produced.
For the PCM 3 2009 model year they went to all the punters they had on their lists of 997GT2 wanters and thanks to the credit crunch could only find 28 people willing to buy so the PCM 3 model is as rare as the GT2RS !
1 car has left the UK and has been dismantled leaving the 61....
