Personally I'm fed up seeing what the latest Porsche BMW diesel M thingy or Audi can do and how great they are.

Rant over (Mr Harris & PH)

I was thinking the same thing the other day whilst reading a mag full of reviews of audi, porsche, BMW things.
So I read a review on the latest Hyundai i40 est. 'Very nice' I thought, until I read the price.
Specced up 'sensibly' the bloody thing cost nigh on 30K. My first thought? 'could get a BMW/Audi/german thing for that money'

They are annoying good.. thats the problem

Which new non-German cars would be considered PH worthy?. Like the magazines, they stick to what "sells".

They are annoyingly good unfortunately. I have been looking for something to replace my 320d for an general use car, cant find anything better (for what I use it for) and not through lack of trying.

You're correct, just as no one is forcing you to read my post or respond to it. Not sure what the point of your post is.

And at barely a new model a year between them, there wouldn't be too many articles.

Face facts: the Germans are the most awesome tribe on the plant and everything they do is better than anyone else. Arguably.
