Ebay Scam?... This stinks of something!

Looking at campervans and came accross this, ridiculously cheap. Had to ask seller a question. He then sent what look like proffesional pictures to me via email. His language, the price and everything is screaming scam...

Has now asked for MY address to prepare an invoice should I buy it! Response came only to my hotmail, not through ebay as well.

Where is this chap trying to go with this?!!

I was considering it however his ebay profile says he is based in Manchester and his email say Cumbria!

The seller lives in Cumbria near Whitehaven and the ad says the van is in Manchester.
That might be considered a little strange.
I would want to see a copy of the V5 and check that the seller actually lives at the address he has given before I even went to see it.

The wording of the mails is very similar to the scammy stuff, but it doesnt come over as totoal scmminess.

Still needs extreme care though.

sometimes they reel you in, but as you get closer they will suddenly be unable to meet you and suggest all that 'send via our shipping agent' bull st.

Ok , being a bit dim here. How would the scam work ?
Is the scammer depending on all the bargain hunters sending him a deposit ?

No the scammer will next ask for his bank details and the car will be delivered on a low loader and the money wont come out of his account till the car is delivered lol, the scammers will then have an ebay link to a western union account.

Or the other one will be the car is out of the country and due to tax reasons in said Country the car has got to come back to blighty, so he is just letting the car go so he doesn,t have to pay the tax, the pictures of the car will be of someone elses car.

The first couple of emails are normally quite good then, after that you can see the reply is by a Nigerian Scammer. When you say cash on delivery the emails go quiet.

But you can have some fun on the way with asking questions such as is it the V12 4X4 version etc etc

It probably got misplaced while moving house...
