2yr old Alfa in Red - Where to start....?!
Discussion
Hi
I have recently bought a 2 year old Alfa 159 in Red - the previous owner seems to have looked after it reasonably well, but there are swirls in the paintwork that suggest a less than ideal washing process....
They aren't straight scratches and don't appear to have been the result of a weekly CarWash, but they are fine and they are everywhere.
On top of that, Alfa red seems to be particularly succeptable to stone chips.
I plan to keep the car a few years and I am happy to hand-wash every week (it's a kind of therapy...).
What can I do to revive the paintwork? I would be prepared to take it to a detailer, but how much might I expect to pay for a finish that I can maintain?
I have never clay'd a car before, always just shampoo, cut, polish and wax.
Gratuitous picture of the offending vehicle;

Great looking motor you have there if you don't mind me saying! You can choose to either tackle the paintwork yourself by using a DA polisher and a cleanse which will achieve good results but not 100% correction, a pro will be the best option if you require perfection. Please ask for recommendations with in your area , which county are you in i may be able to assist you in the right direction.
