Clarkson's on sparkling form today in The Sunday Times 'In Gear' supplement.
Some of his observations on towns along the M4 corridor which made me laugh out loud, will undoubtedly upset a few natives.
His review of the BMW M5 in the same article is Clarkson doing what he does best.

Andy Wilman is also given a double page spread in the same supplement about the new series of Top Gear. Definately well worth a read.

(Unfortunately The Sunday Times online is now only available on subscription, so no link possible)

And the effect of this is that barely anyone reads it. I'm not moved to want to sign up to read a couple of articles. It's been said that The Times' comments sections are now like a ghost town.

The irony is that the two other posts on this thread refer to the new series of TG. If The Times weren't paywalled, I bet there'd have been traffic driven to their site and healthy debate/conversation on this thread...

Murdoch's insistence on forcing through a paywall model which just won't work for something like the ST is pretty laughable IMO and further proof that he is nothing more than a silly old codger with an increasingly limited grasp on reality.

I stopped reading The Times app after they increased the price of the subscription this year. Same with the Sunday Times. I'm now reading the Telegraph but the layout is not a patch on the Times.

The Times have dropped the ball recently with their updates at all times of the day on the iOS version - I'm constantly refreshing it every morning as the same stories which I read on the way home the previous night are still headline news the next morning. Don't get me started on the Opinion or Lifestyle pieces.

I can understand why some say the Kindle download is superior. I may go back to it.
