Over the last 6 weeks or so, I've been on a bit of a weight loss drive.

Doing quite well so far, which is good.

Obviously, I've been weighing myself each day at the same time etc, but out of interest, thought I would monitor my weight at several times throughout the day. Now, last night, I was 1.5kg heavier than I was this morning. Where does all this weight go?!?! I'm aware one sweats in bed, but there's no way I produce 1.5kg of sweat hehe

(11.3kg down so far)

Food and water put simply. You're body has broken down your food and drink overnight and obviously you're eating throughout the day.

I used to fluctuate between 160 and 170lbs.

Started lifting weights around Christmas and stuck to 160, now up to 174!!!

Seemingly diet + cardio allowed a massive fluctuation. Diet + cardio + weights has stablized my overall weight (while slowly increasing it)

food goes in, food comes out, food gets broken down, etc. Also, weigh yourself post shower or bath and theres the water you absorbed!

I actually weighed myself pre and post poo the other day, worryingly I gained 2lbs after deploying the brown bomb. So I assume that my poo was made of helium or had invented some sort of anti-gravity system eek

If you're going to use scales, I'd weigh at most weekly, more likely fortnightly. Same day of week, same time of day - preferably first thing.
As you've disvovered, we vary so much within 24 hours it's pretty much meaningless.

A tape measure or photographs are better measures of success or failure anyway.

Because you want to squeeze into a rather fetching new outfit?

Is there something you're not telling us, Moose?
