Singer SM / Hunter

Hi Guys,

Been lookimh high and low for either a Singer SM or Hunter but can't find anything on the market at all. Does anyone know of a good place to look or know of anyone looking to sell up?

Very rare car. Havnt seen one for ages. Pretty sure i recall seeing one in Cyprus in the mid 90s. Imageine a few were sold there. May be a good place to look for one.
A fair few were probably sold to Africa , ie Kenya, Rhodesia,Sth Africa etc. Owners club a good place to start looking .

How many were made ?

These are rare as hens teeth,i have never seen a Hunter for sale but have seen 2 or 3 SM`s over the years,e-bay is usually the best bet or try the Singer Owners Club?

Not sure how many were made but logged onto "how many left" and can see there are just 13 SM's that are taxed or SORN and 20 odd Hunters in the UK. Didn't realise they were so rare and the task of finding one for sale would be so difficult!!

As you have suggested, I think the owners club would be the best place to start

Been thinking, what a Great Classic choice one would be. They are Just so unusual.

Abs Don't rely on those figures, but yes very few must still survive. I bet a lot must have ended their days on the ruddy banger tracks.
Guessing some must have gone to the States as well, be worth checking Flea Bay USA.

Probably a few were Rallied in period ? Were they part of The Rootes group by then ?

IIRC all of the Hunters sold in SA or Zimbabwe had the venerable Peugeot lump in them from a 404/504 so they are not a lot of use over here. They would of course be fairy unusual/unque.

Checked ebay USA and autotrader south africa and no joy.
