is it common for garages to advertise fake cars?
Discussion
I have been looking about for a used 7 series and hoping to stretch my funds to a 2007 car.
I found a black 730 sport on ebay with a dealer that was perfect and a good price however when i phoned them they said someone had just come in a put a deposit on it
I had put in my watched items on ebay and i got a message at lunch time yesterday telling me that my watched item was ending. I checked online this morning and the seller had renewed the ad for another 9 days so i phoned them to see if it was back up for sale the answer i got was that they had re advertised it by mistake.
I have found another one now in the same town however looking at the ebay ad it has had revisions dating back to july 2011, surely this is a long time to be marketing the same car?
Are these likely to be fake offers / prices just to get people to come and view the rest of the stock, is this common practice?
