I have been looking about for a used 7 series and hoping to stretch my funds to a 2007 car.

I found a black 730 sport on ebay with a dealer that was perfect and a good price however when i phoned them they said someone had just come in a put a deposit on it cry

I had put in my watched items on ebay and i got a message at lunch time yesterday telling me that my watched item was ending. I checked online this morning and the seller had renewed the ad for another 9 days so i phoned them to see if it was back up for sale the answer i got was that they had re advertised it by mistake.

I have found another one now in the same town however looking at the ebay ad it has had revisions dating back to july 2011, surely this is a long time to be marketing the same car?

Are these likely to be fake offers / prices just to get people to come and view the rest of the stock, is this common practice?

Before internet was common, it was amazing how many keenly priced cars had "just gone" or dealers had "forgotten to take it out of this week's advert".

I walked off those lots. If I can't trust people, I don't deal with them.
