Strongly thinking about selling my v8s

After 3 years of ownership, I am strongly thinking about selling my lovely V8S as I've hardly driven it since the birth of my daughter. I need to start looking at 4 seater convertibles. Car has sailed through all MOTs to date and has less than 60000mls on the clock. Does anybody know how much I can get for it?

With v8s being so rare i would say put it up for £10k and see what offers you get i would guess approx 8k ?

Pics say 1000 words so take some fantastic pics get down on the floor for some nice up shot pics

Its not like people are going to say well i have a couple more to look at or not sure on the colour etc

If someone doesnt want it someone else will as the most v8s i have seen for sale at the same time is 2 and both sold withing a couple of weeks

I really don't want to sell but my mileage has plummets at the misus does not like me taking the little one it it which has further make it worse

The less you use it the more special it is when you do.

If its financial reasons then fair enough, but if not can you not keep it as a sunny sunday car and when the little ones are bigger would be nice ?

But it won't be long before your little one is old enough to travel in it and you can claim to be taking the little one off your wife's hands so she can have some well deserved time to herself. Everyone's a winner!

My daugther loves being taken out in the TVR and since she was old enough to argue her case (about 2yrs old) has insisted that she comes to any events I attend in the S. She likes to hammer around everywhere at 6000rpm 'lets wake the lazy people up daddy?'.

How can I resist?

my wife feels the same tbh.. A roll bar will make her much happier.. Good job I want one too.

If i was you i would keep your V8S, if only as a 2nd car [sunny days and weekends].Going rate at the mo for a good V8S is circa £8000 to £8500. Compare this to a couple of years ago when they were as low as £6500 and you can see why i say keep it.There will always be cheaper ones needing work, but a good sorted one will only ever go up in value. Sell it if you have to, but you WILL REGRET IT.

After a friutless 12 months looking at various £8K V8S, I was finally prompted to pay £10K for a beauty( 36K, detailed engine, sorted chassis and suspension etc etc) and haven't regreted it since. The moral being that if you've got a good'un, don't give it away - quality always sells. Good luck..... Chris

Cars already my second car and garaged for 6 months of the year ( dry use only) its really special to me and when I do drive it, my God it puts a smile on my face. Big smile in fact and I always wish I can have that smile on my face every weekend

I think you are being far too hasty, time to think laterally.

OMP do a nice racing-style towing hook on a flexible stem, £15 from Demon Tweeks. As you are not towing any significant weight this can be drilled into the panel above the exhausts with a couple of reinforcing washers. The choice of cycle trailers is up to you but I would recommend a 2 seater as I suspect you have further paternal plans. I chose this model :



..as it is a true 2 seater, offers a degree of roll over protection and the tyres are rated to 70mph. I was initially planning to buy an expensive Peltor intercom system but eventually just used a conventional baby alarm with the wires suitably cable-tied to the towing strut.

Performance is not significantly affected and there is probably slightly less squat under hard acceleration. The only other thing I would advise is some form of in-cockpit reminder that you (literally) have the kids-in-tow. I simply bought one of those Halfords "Baby on Board" stickers and applied it to the inside of the windscreen whenever the trailer was attached.
