Windscreen wipers
Discussion
I feel really stupid asking!!!
My 91 Classic Range Rover wipers studdenly packed up, I have tried looking for the fuse but can not find it. I must be the fuse, they were working fine until I washed her lifting the wipers to clean the screen, getting back in and starting her, the wipers dont work the washer jets do so that fuse is alright, which I can find.

Hi mate. My 94 Softdash has recently had wiper problems. That fuse you have found, 20 amp as I recall controls wipers and washers so looks like you have a motor or switch problem (could be different on earlier car though). Have your wipers been working slowly atall recently? Reason for asking mine had been slow at times and I had removed the little grills in the scuttle and sprayed WD40 on the linkages thinking this would help. Anyway they stopped completely, turned out spindles had seized solid and wrecked the wiper motor. Got one from breakers and fitted it only to find still no joy, must have backfed and fried the switch. One switch later(same as Rover 800 on Softdash) still got problems. We then discovered wires had obviously got hot and melted together near multiplug for switch causing a washer fault, motor running constantly and emptying washer bottle!! Hours of fun but we got there in the end!!
