Sorry, but they are such a rare car in daily use these days I doubt you'll find 2 people using one of each for similar use to actually make any sensible comparison possible.
I also don't think there'd be a difference of any significance compared to all other factors if you're looking at buying one or the other.

I beleive the S has the same engine as my 944 and it is pretty crap around town and in general. Then it does smoke a bit, is a little rough and has just over 200K on the clock. Still an absolute blast though 
It seems to do about 25mpg everywhere not that I really work it out.
Goose is right though, there are so few around, you don't even see them at shows these days. They are also very cheap so I wouldn't worry about MPG it's not really relevant.
