Gearbox mount and linkage advice please
Discussion
Ok chaps the 450 is getting unsorned next month but there is just one more job i want to get done before i start grinning insanely again!
I have purchased some poly remote linkage bushes and figured i'd change the gearbox bobbin mounts whilst i was under there for safe measure.
Any advice on these jobs would be appreciated, especially from people who have done it. I have the use of a full 4 post vehicle lift for next Saturday morning so access shoild be ok.
Do i need to remove the propshaft to do the mounts?
Can i reach all of the remote bushes from underneath?
How long should i allow for the jobs?

Replaced only linkage related bushes on the wedge.
From below I think is best. Propshaft can stay where it is.
Good access is handy as the two bolts to the gearbox casing needed a lot of force.
Think gearbox mounts shouldn't be to difficult either and no need to mess with the propshaft, but haven't done these myself on the wedge yet.
With good access half an hour job, and with a few nasty nuts or bolts, an hour or so.

Can't remember if the exhaust was in the way to do these type of jobs!
If yes, it will be more difficult unfortunately...
As touching that could open a whole new can of worms, if the clamps are there since a long time and the exhaust is perhaps under a bit of strain. Installed a stainless one myself last year, and now it is no issue to unbolt it quickly and put it back together, exhaust gas tight.
If the car is up in the air, supporting the gearbox to do the mounts would be handy I guess, like gearbox jack or something like that.
In 2,5 hours you should be able to sort it.
