Having spent some time waging all out war on motorists in Bath, the local council are now turning their attention to essentially making ownership of a dog a criminal offence. I take this as a declaration of war. And no, I'm not joking. http://www.bathnes.gov.uk/environmentandplanning/a...

So they just want dogs on leads at all times save for on Forest Commission land? They may have just picked on the wrong people, dog owners are loud f***ers.......... And they WILL vote out someone who impacts upon their babies (I know, I am one of them!).

So they've excluded dogs fromthe whole of Bath...nice.

And I like it how they are managing it through fixed penalty notices...steath tax anyone?

Bizarre. Do they have some kind of reason for doing this? Have some dogs gotten bitey?

Dogs on leads get in the way of cyclists and the Lib Dems think they might hurt bay-bies.

Wow! Those crazy people really hate dogs.

I cant imagine the fines imposed will come close to paying for the project think tanks that put this together. I cant imagine anyone giving their real name for starters to a ranger or whatever you have in Bath.

That explains it all. Pointless and inept from the top to the bottom of the party. Quite possibly,a more hateful bunch than Labour (apart from Harman and Abbott and Milliband and Balls - no-one, apart from Brown and Blair, is more hateful than that bunch of duplicitous wkers)

The vast majority of dog owners abhor people who don't clear up after their dogs. Because not only do we also have to deal with it, but we also get tainted by it. It's much like the argument for reducing speed limits. People who are inclined to be responsible are not the problem, so tighter legislation doesn't improve the situation, it just makes responsible people suffer.

Dog exclusion zones!?
Including the Rec?!! Why can't a dog go in the Rec?
And you can't own more than 6 dogs?

Fantastic more rules for the law abiding to follow because a few didn't follow the old rules

If you can't tackle a problem of people breaking a law just invent some more rules for them to ignore while those that didn't cause the problem find their freedoms removed

i fking hate councils

There's still far too many ignorant dicks who don't pick up after their dogs though - not just on pavements but on playing fields, towpaths, and on the paths in woods.

They should have their bank accounts emptied and their dogs removed.
