MB are promoting a finance deal on the above which on face value looks like a decent deal. Dealer deposit and fixed rate % in particular look attractive as do monthly repayments.

New to the MB forum as have been looking at buying a Granturismo though having now seen this deal and read reviews, I'm rethinking.

Any advice on living with one of these cars, depreciation, colour sensitivity (lam keen on diamond white), and predictable questions re running costs.

Thanks

It's an excellent deal, i've been in negotiations for the last few weeks to purchase one. i've so far managed a slight further discount but am hoping for a little more before i bite the bullet.

Ive done a lot of research over the last few weeks feel free to ask if there is anything i can help with.

Have you had a test drive yet?? LOUD!!!! cloud9

That sounds like a very good deal.

Although it is still £27,700 over three years with nothing to show for it at the end.

most brand new performance cars will cost you that over the first 3 years to be fair.

Make sure you check the spec of the car they are supplying. From when I enquired, it's virtually pauper spec (or as pauper as you can get a C63).

Most buyers look for at least performance pack if you are going to sell it on.

Add the Limited Slip Diff (essential if you ask me) and it will push those monthly costs up.

The contribution of £7229 is a excellent offer.

Thanks for all your feedback. I have a test drive booked next Saturday. Interesting point made regarding spec. I'll look out for both Performance Pack and LSD as I agree, come resale/trade in time, the options are important.

Any thoughts on how far to push negotiations, whether diamond white will plummet depreciation wise and whether MPG will ever see the other side of 20mpg...?

Personally I didn't opt for the performance pack from what I could see you get 30 extra hp a furry steering wheel and some red brakes for £5k....I'll just have to get by with 450 odd hp.

I did go for the LSD though as well as some other options.

PP for C63 is not just a software change .. you get some of the lighter engine bits from the SLS engine, making the engine more responsive, and of course, 30hp more.

I know but for £5k? it just seemed too much for too little for me.

Its an astonishing car without the PP and im a firm believer in specking a car for me not the next owner.

The ppplus cars sound better (inside and out) and pull a lot stronger when high up the rev range.

Excatly what i did in terms of spec with mine i picked up 30th Dec.
To me carbon interior and exterior is a must, particular interior.

I'm now looking at Kleeman options which hopefully will make it sound like F1 medic car and give me north of 500bhp. Faster, noisier and cheaper than PP, probably bugger up warranty though

Isn't it cheaper just to lease one?....

Freedome contracts had them on for £599+ vat on a 6+ 23 not so long ago.....sounds cheaper than the above deals......

I had a look at this deal, but as soon as I added a few bits and bobs, the monthly payments ballooned wildly.

I had assumed that if the overall cost of the car increased by 10 percent, so would the repayments. However, the reality was a 17 per cent increase in monthly repayments with an increase in deposit with no explanation of why it was not broadly pro-rata. The sales guys were keen to brush over this issue and suggested that I could double the deposit to reduce the repayments, but that wasn't really the point.......

There are also potential mileage restrictions and further strict rules on the condition of the returned car that are enforced when you pass it back at the end of the term.

I didn't feel that I would be the master of my own destiny and so it wasn't a deal for me- the APR is pretty steep IMHO aswell.

Good headline figures perhaps, but keep your eyes open!

Which deal, the MB one or the one from Freedom?
