Good torque wrench for £50
Discussion
It's my bros birthday coming up and amongst other things he wants a torque wrench (probably for changing wheels etc over). I have about £50 to spend....what's good? Any advice\links appreciated - I'm out of touch when it comes to tools.
ps, rather not have a Halfauds special unless people honestly think they cut the mustard....or at least tightens the mustard.
Thanks in advance.

I bought a Halfrauds one,

It was about £50 with a trade card. I've used it alot and I'd buy another.

Teng tools do them for around that price, The 1/2" one is £62 from screwfix as shown in the link below. They can be had for around £50 brand new from ebay.

I understand that this was probably posted tongue in cheek, but if you bought something at a good price and are willing to buy another, is it really fair to use 'Halfrauds'?http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/...

I couldn't justify spending more than 4 times that on 'Snap On'.Seems to have faired quite well I've had mine around 2 years I think.

Just quoting the OP. I got a halfords pro tool set when I was an apprentice and most of it is still going strong apart from the usual torx bits. The 3/8 ratchet lasted 8 years and I wasn't very gentle with it.mwcr85 said:
