I filled up both cars this week at tesco and forgot they were doing this and we're only shopping tomorrow.

My father in law was made up he saved about £4 on a full tank in his civic. Not a lot really, just shows how expensive it is!

I suppose if you do loads of miles it's good but I don't think the offer is on for that long frown

I have a 64 litre tank and it was half full.

I reckon I saved about £3.20 give or take a quid.

Wish I knew about this before I filled up £86 on Sunday! Would think working for Tesco we would know before seeing it in the paper lol.

Every discount is worth it but the tesco discount isn't worth it for me because firstly tesco prices are so much higher than any other supermarket and I don't do enough miles to justify putting £120 worth of fuel in to save £6.

Not seen the 10p ones, can you double/triple up on the new ones like the old 5p offers? you could add three of those together (in date) to get 15p litre off.

Nope, one at a time at the moment. Only one per vehicle too.

I must have missed this. What do you have to do to get 10p off?

I only quoted the relevant bit to make it clear!

My point was, how on earth does saving £4 on a tank show you how expensive fuel is?! You'd save four quid on the forty litres he bought whether it was 70p a litre or £2.20, you still save 10p a litre hehe

^ This. I found Tesco to be the most expensive supermarket for the things I buy and hence haven't shopped there in ages. Also, Tesco petrol station is always very busy... presumably because of all the people trying to save £1.50 on petrol, after having been overcharged by £10 for their shopping.

I think someones confusing 10p a litre with 10%. Only way I can interpret the original post anyway?
