Shogun sport engine problems
Discussion
Got a shogun sport 53 plate.
Last year the engine went pop and had a refurbished one fitted.
It's just gone pop too, or at least the turbo on it has. It drives but overheats very quickly and spews black smoke.
Doing a bit of research it seems the engines are prone to a lot of problems.
So, do I try to source a new engine, or give up on it now?
Does anyone know a good plac to get the engine?
It's too much of a nice car to scrap.
Cheers all

I think from memory some of the engines in the L200's and Shogun Sport's from that year were duff, head gasket problems etc.
May be worth asking here http://www.l200.org.uk/

Thanks chaps. Just registered on the L200 site so I'll have a good look around in there.
If there was a problem with these engines, shouldn't Mitsubishi offer some sort of replacement or help?
In the meantime, if anyone else has any ideas of where to get an engine, please let me know.
Cheers
