Hi Andy.
Sorry to hear about your Dad's failing eyesight. It must be quite dissapointing for him as he'll feel his independance will be lost.
Unfortunately, there's not much hope as far as mechanical transport. The only option is one of those motorised buggies. The sort usually used by those persons who can't walk very far. Basket on the front, seat with arm rests etc.
However, your father might not really be wanting one of those if he's still able bodied.

Or he could do what 1000's of chavs do and drive without it.
