Canon S95 Battery

I've just taken delivery of my S95 (battery charging now!) .
I want to get a spare battery; has anybody had any experience of
generic batteries for this camera?

Not that Canon batteries are that expensive, it's just as a proportion
of the cost of the whole camera they SEEM expensive .

I bought one of the £5 ones off of Amazon to go with my wife's S95. Works fine.

I bought two from Amazon. Energizer brand. Nothing wrong with them

I bought a couple of generics for my S90 from 7Dayshop - as I have done for several other cameras. I've never had a problem and sometimes the cheapies seem to work better and for longer than the manufacturer versions.

Thanks all. I'll get a couple ordered; battery life doesn't
seem to be very good but maybe that's because it's the first charge
and I've fiddled about alot with menus/settings.

I've just found a "Lion" brand one in my jacket pocket, having said that I can't actually remember charging my S90 in the last 6 months, despite a fair bit of use. Sometimes batteries need to go through a few cycles before they're at their optimum.

7dayshop. Used for spares for my DSLR, TZ4 and underwater camera and all have been at least as good as the OEM versions in the box.
