i'm driving from south wales to bristol in a couple of weeks, its on a friday night about 6ish how bad will traffic be. I dont reaaly care but it would be nice to know

How far into Bristol? If you mean the centre, then it can be pretty awful. As can the traffic.

I would advise that as it's a big journey that you check your oil, tyre pressures, fuel, have had a piss before you leave etc... Then whatever the traffic is like you know you will be ok.

Probably worth setting off around 2.34pm if you want to get there on time.

If you are intent on driving to Bristol I personally would advise you not to start from South Wales.

Start in Bath, it is a much easier journey.
