just had the price through the door - over £800 for the best cover

any point going for a lower level of cover?

seems any work on this car is going to be expensive, so would be daft not to get some cover.

I'd go for the comprehensive cover, but consider a £100 excess.

....and pay for it monthly, as it protects you against any price increases and the price jump that occurs at 60K miles.

(both dependent on how long you envisage keeping it)

the price works out £100 more if you pay monthly?

Probably, but like is said, depends how long you envisage keeping it, the warranty price increase is alot more than £100pa for cars with more than 60K miles, it more or less doubles.

ok, I am at 29K at the moment, are you saying if I chose the monthly option then that just carries on forever at the price until I sell the car or I get to 100K miles?

yes, unless it's changed since last year that is the case. At 29K unless you will be over 60K miles at next years warranty renewal, I would go with the annual renewal this year.
