Saw these on Ebay, anyone tried them, are they legal, are they any good, they seem cheap ? Too good to be true ?

Legal? No.
Good? Probably not - even if bright enough and don't die within weeks you've got the issue that LED bulbs won't defrost the headlight cover so they're useless in winter.
I'd stay away personally.

Was going to anyway, was just interested in whether anyone had tried them, didnt think about the defrost angle.

They are absolutely pathetic, nowhere near the output of a 55W Halogen lamp. They won't focus properly either, so what little light they do produce won't be going where you want it to.

On a 1991 944, doesnt have anything that clever, wasnt going to bother, just interested in the technical angle really.
