My Octavia VRS Estate (2006)
Discussion
Well, I bought the car in October with the intention of not really doing anything.... well that's how it usually goes right?
It's a 2006 (56) 2.0 TFSI Petrol
This is how it was looking after a good 12 hour detailing session.

First step....
New gearknob insert
From this:

To:

Next step..
New Wheels

VW Nut caps

Finally, lowered the car on the Eibach Pro kit - Nothing silly but enough to take that edge off and stop it looking quite so stupid!

Will probably settle a tad yet but it's already better!
That's it for now anyway, thinking about a possible Remap next but not sure yet.... will keep thinking!

Looks good! On mine I removed the OCTAVIA lettering from the bootlid, just leaving the VRS badge underneath. It looked so much better.
I'm on my phone and can't figure out how to get the image link on Picasa. Bloody website, doesn't give you an option to opt out of mobile view!!!
Hopefully this link will work:

Hi.
Good to see another Skud man on here.
Just thought you'd find these pics of interest regarding suspension seeing as youv'e lowered your car. These mods really allow the extra grunt of a remap to be exploited on B roads and makes the heavier Octavia much more pointy and Golf like. I found after i remapped my tdi that rear damping and control of roll more effective than actual lowering though i have fitted Eibach springs on my car. Having tried many permutations i found the Neuspeed front and rear roll bars and Bilstien B6 front and rear dampers a great combo. Taut but not jarring though the pictures show B8's. There's a lot of suspension movement to control on the multi link rear set up.
Your rims look good. Just enough for street cred. I tried to keep my car low key but got a bit carried away but still reckon it's retained an element of the Q car that the RS definitely is. Good to see you've kept the Skoda badges!.
