Looks lovely. Don't laugh at the power output, you'll get marquis rex saying its as good as a modern engine

I don't care about power output, that is lovely
but what about its 'Ring time? Won't you feel like a chump when a diesel A5 burns it off the lights?

on the plus side, I believe it is fundamentally impossible to drive (or be driven) in one of these without smoking some large and expensive cigar... you just know it. Which will make petrol seem cheap, giving you even more excuse for an 'economic' VXR8 with 'only' 6 litres

Would it be bad to (if I won the lottery) replace all mechanical parts with modern components, e.g. AMG V12, and replace all running gear with modern components, then have a modern lighter, stronger body built. Would it be easier to just build a new car which looked a bit like it?
Yes!
That engine is a work of art.

I suspect that if you did that, the tyres would have a slight problem putting the power down :-)
