but what about its 'Ring time? Won't you feel like a chump when a diesel A5 burns it off the lights? wink

on the plus side, I believe it is fundamentally impossible to drive (or be driven) in one of these without smoking some large and expensive cigar... you just know it. Which will make petrol seem cheap, giving you even more excuse for an 'economic' VXR8 with 'only' 6 litres smile

Would it be bad to (if I won the lottery) replace all mechanical parts with modern components, e.g. AMG V12, and replace all running gear with modern components, then have a modern lighter, stronger body built. Would it be easier to just build a new car which looked a bit like it? hehe

I bet it only revs to 1500 rpm, in which case it might be quite good!

This car is absolutely massive, I've not actually driven it but I've been driven in it and by all accounts it's actually quite pleasant to drive. Mind you though, the fuel consumption is eye watering.

I suspect that if you did that, the tyres would have a slight problem putting the power down :-)

This is the thing. We are now so used to car interiors resembling the inside of a cheap mass produced dust bin. When we see a car whose plastics are not quite so brittle (Audi etc) we are conditioned to think it is premium. When in fact it is still tat. Bring back real wood, proper carpet, natural leather, an ambiance you'd be happy to have as your lounge. After seeing this amazing car interior my eyes have been opened.
