Anodising/powder coating frames

Hopefully going to pick up a new mtb in a couple of weeks. It's polished aluminium which I think is a bit naff. Does anyone know about anodising or powder coating frames? Cost? Recommendations? Results?

it will be expensive. http://www.downlandcycles.co.uk/frameSpraying.htm and you will have to strip it down completely, then rebuild it... have to say, the old school GT Pantera was polished ally and it looked like the dogs danglies!
