High Mileage MCS

A colleague at work is looking at purchasing a early R53 MCS. Due to his budget of 4.5k he is looking at 02 or 03 cars, but most have 80k and above miles on them. Other than the normal service history etc anything he should look out for? I have read the superchargers need replacing at 100k?

Also is it easy to remove some of the factory stickers? i.e. bonnet stripes etc?

Mine a '54 MCS has just shy of 143,000 needs new valve stem seals. Clutch was done under warranty in 2007 with 20k on the clock and that still going.
