Looks like it will be quite a cost to get it back to new again as well? Looks 5K ish, assuming the rad/ lights/ wheel refurbs needs replacing along with the front clam and paint sound about right?

How on earth can it be 'unrecorded' ??? Unless the owner just sold it for cash to TVR Dean after the prang ??? Looks like it's run into the back of another car and probably repairable . Doesn't look to be any signifant chassis damage, but I'm no expert.

This car sold through copart a few hours ago . If the damage is as little as it looks then it should not be a recorded write off but those chassis bend very easily .

i was the under bidder at the copart online auction know exactly what it sold for as i bid £100 less than winning bidder not sure its fair to post the price on here as this may be unfair to tvr dean but it was a bit less than 28k maybe i should have bid more but i think the repair bill is going to be roughly 8k to do it properly also copart sell there cars as runners and non runners as they check each cars mechanics but this i was told by copart was a non running vehicle!!! i also know the chasis number!!!!

thats bang on but didnt want to be the one to reveal the price as not to upset tvr dean!!!
Apologies Sean .. I was typing as you were posting.

Very fair point but a call to Copart could have sourced the hammer price, nevertheless there`s not much margin when collection is taken into consideration although I think it was way too high for a dealer to consider but good luck to him.

yes your right im sure if anyone wanted to know the sale price they can find out as you say a call to copart could confirm i thought the car was 20k plus premium in my opinion but i wanted it to repair and keep so got a bit carried away and bid quite a few thousand more in all honesty i didnt realise the premium was as much as it is how do they work there premium costs? i will have to have a look on the copart site unless you know think they should have repaired the car first think its going to struggle now in the uk for a buyer as everyone will know the car has had accident damage if they do a bit of research.maybe it will go abroad germany, belgium, etc!!

Yes,I thought around 20, at that it would have made economical sense and a good user as the residual will, even if "unrecorded" be affected, very easy to get drawn into that "increase bid button" though isn`t it ?

Anyone not interested in the downside of owning a marked car would surely have looked at the Lamborghini green car before it sold abroad, very nicely finished.

The last Sagaris that surfaced thru salvage sites was 2010 if I remember correctly ... only two years to go before the next !!

yes thats the figure i think/thought but there we go good luck to whoever gets it but think it will struggle to be worth top retail money when fixed as people will find out the cars history and be put of slightly

Would be ideal if you wanted to build a proper Sagaris Race Car, that's if the chassis is still ok, plus you could sell the bits you didn't need, seats etc

Does anyone know exactly what he paid, like everyone else on here - I think 29k is a tad much for what it is. My father and I are planning to go look at it this weekend, however our plan would be to get tvrpower bodyshop to do the work as we've heard horror stories with tvr dean in regard to the quality of their repair work.

The very best of luck, however it would appear that it`s sold subject to a deposit being paid.

Paying others to complete the work make any project of this nature a financial non starter, once the compromised residual is taken into account. IMHO your interests may be better served by sourcing a sub £40,000 private sale car ?

Seeing as though the mileage is under 20,000 and its damage is unrecorded. I believe you could still buy the car - spend 5-6k on repair (including parts, repair and paint) and make a small but tidy profit from it once it has sold. I know it would be difficult to sell because of its history and that people could research it on forums like this to find its past. But nevertheless, I think there would still be a demand for it.
